Job Description
Towne Park is a leading provider of parking and valet services known for their commitment to exceptional customer experiences and professional hospitality. Specializing in premium parking solutions for a variety of properties including hotels, airports, event venues, and corporate locations, Towne Park emphasizes safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction in every interaction. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality service, the company prioritizes a friendly and professional approach to every guest, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout their stay or visit. Towne Park values its employees and offers competitive compensation, which for this position includes an hourly base pay of $17 plus tips, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair and commensurate remuneration based on experience, skills, and location. This particular role is classified as an overnight shift, designed to support the needs of guests during late hours and early mornings.
The Guest Service Associate at Towne Park plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality services by acting as the first and last point of contact for guests using the parking facilities. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting with luggage handling during arrivals and departures, and providing guests with clear information about parking rates, facilities, and local amenities. The Guest Service Associate must maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor, addressing guests respectfully by name and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly within five feet using appropriate salutations, practicing excellent phone etiquette, and being visible and available when not engaged with guests or tasks.
A key part of the role involves safe vehicle handling, including driving slowly and cautiously, assisting with manual parking maneuvers such as parallel parking, and opening doors for guests as needed. The associate is also expected to assist with guest services such as providing directions, arranging transportation, managing reservations, delivering messages or items, and shuttling guests to approved locations. Additionally, the role encompasses managing parking operations, including explaining rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, issuing and collecting claim checks, and accurately recording vehicle information such as key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, and damage surveys. The associate is responsible for calculating and collecting parking fees where applicable.
The working environment is predominantly outdoors, exposing the associate to varying weather conditions and requiring physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and handle luggage or vehicle keys. Physical demands include the ability to exert varying degrees of force up to 100 pounds occasionally, and routine bending, stooping, kneeling, and balancing. The position also necessitates excellent communication skills, numerical proficiency, and the ability to understand and apply time and rate structures relevant to parking services. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, preferably with the ability to operate a manual transmission, and hold at least a high school diploma or GED. Towne Park fosters a supportive workplace with accommodations for individuals with disabilities and encourages a team-oriented approach to hospitality and customer service. Employees in this role can access benefits including accident and critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity, telemedicine services, and participation in a 401k retirement plan, enhancing both their financial security and well-being. Overall, the Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about exceptional guest service, safe vehicle operation, and contributing positively to the guest experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
