The Steward, Dishwashing position plays a crucial role within PENN Entertainment's hospitality and food service operations. This full-time role involves working as part of a dishwashing crew responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. The steward ensures soiled items are properly processed through dishwashing machines, inspects and stores clean items, and manages the washing of large kitchen appliances that cannot fit into machines. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness in work and storage areas, supporting food preparation stations by supplying clean dishware, and handling garbage removal. The steward assists with set-up, breakdown, and cleaning for special events and banquets, and occasionally performs miscellaneous duties such as polishing silver or cleaning kitchen hoods and vents. Safety and organization are key, with responsibilities to keep floors clean and dry and to operate dish machines according to company and manufacturer guidelines using proper detergent and sanitizer measures.
