Job Description

Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) is a non-profit organization committed to honoring and serving older adults through a mission inspired by Christ's love. MRC operates eight continuing-care retirement communities across Texas, providing a range of living options designed to meet the evolving needs of seniors. Among MRC’s affiliated communities, Cornerstone Retirement Community, located in Texarkana, stands out as a leader in continuing care retirement living. It is well-known for offering comprehensive services, including independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and home health care. As the only 5 STAR rated community in Texarkana, Cornerstone has earned certification in the Eden Alternative Registry, an accolade that reflects its deep commitment to person-directed care approaches that prioritize individuality and dignity.

Currently, Cornerstone is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist to cover the overnight shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the community during nighttime hours by serving as a key point of contact for residents, guests, and staff. The position requires working from 11:30 pm to 8:00 am on Tuesday through Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, greeting guests, answering calls, handling resident requests, and maintaining community safety through building patrols and upkeep tasks. This is a vital position that supports the welcoming and secure environment that Cornerstone strives to foster for its residents and visitors. With a focus on friendly, attentive service and the ability to multitask efficiently, this role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated team at a respected continuing care retirement community.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
  • ability to work overnight shifts

Job Duties

  • provide coverage at front desk as key contact for residents
  • serve as first point of contact for guests, greet and assist with information

  • perform light maintenance and environmental upkeep
