The Overnight Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service during the overnight hours. This position involves welcoming members and guests as they enter and exit the club, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and supporting the overall member experience in alignment with the brand's Judgement Free Zone® standards. Associates are the face of the club during their shifts, fostering positive interactions and motivating members on their fitness journeys. The role also includes administrative tasks such as conducting membership sign-ups, managing billing updates, processing cancellations, and handling retail transactions accurately to help meet sales targets.

Beyond customer service, the Overnight Front Desk Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the club environment. This includes regular sanitization of exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, routine restroom upkeep, and ensuring the club complies with safety and maintenance protocols. Associates also perform comprehensive walkthroughs of the facility to address any safety or cleanliness issues promptly, escalating maintenance concerns as necessary. The position demands strong communication skills, an ability to stay organized while multitasking, and a proactive approach to supporting the club's operation.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years or older
  • ability to stand and move continually during shift
  • ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
  • ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • willingness to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • basic computer skills
  • willingness to become CPR/AED certified

Job Qualifications

  • 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • willing to become CPR/AED certified with training provided
  • basic computer proficiency

Job Duties

  • Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club
  • assist members with questions or concerns during check-in
  • promote the Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor and providing support
  • resolve member concerns and escalate issues to a manager as needed
  • answer phones and assist callers with inquiries
  • perform membership functions such as sign-ups, billing updates, cancellations, and transfers
  • conduct prospective member calls and tours by assessing membership needs
  • execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals
  • regularly clean and sanitize exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities
  • maintain cleanliness and stocking of restrooms
  • perform comprehensive walkthroughs to identify and fix safety and cleanliness issues
  • promptly address maintenance and facility concerns
