The Overnight Dishwasher role is a critical part of Kalahari’s culinary team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment. This position plays a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. Working overnight shifts, the Dishwasher helps keep the kitchen running smoothly, allowing chefs and servers to focus on delivering exceptional food and service to guests. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 1-2 years of dishwashing/sanitation experience is preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- ability to work overnight shifts
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of dishwashing/sanitation experience is preferred
- general food and beverage knowledge involving at least 1 year of back-of-the-house operations is preferred
- ability to work overnight shifts
- good physical stamina
- strong attention to detail
- ability to follow food safety guidelines
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- maintain a clean, sanitary and safe workstation
- maintain food safety and sanitation procedures according to health department standards
- thoroughly clean station on a daily basis at completion of shift and any other assigned cleaning projects
- assist kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas
- ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized
- support kitchen operations for smooth and efficient service
- embody the company’s promise to lead with love by supporting and inspiring associates
