This community offers a supportive and engaging environment, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for its residents through personalized services and a welcoming atmosphere. Known for its compassionate care and commitment to excellence, the community prides itself on fostering meaningful interactions and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. Behind the scenes, a professional and attentive staff works diligently to provide a seamless living experience, blending hospitality with healthcare support.
The role available is for a Concierge who will serve as a vital link between the community and its visitors, residents, and staff. Reporting directly to the Business Office Manager, this full-time, hourly position plays a critical part in managing the first impression of the community. The Concierge is responsible for greeting visitors, arranging property tours, managing multi-line telephone calls, and lending clerical support to administrative personnel. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor as it involves direct interaction with prospective residents, family members, guests, and office staff. The Concierge must be knowledgeable about the community’s services and programs to provide accurate and useful information.
In addition to greeting and assisting visitors and residents, the Concierge oversees the reception area, ensuring it remains neat, organized, and stocked with current property literature. The Concierge also handles office operations such as processing mail, using the mail meter, making copies, and other clerical tasks. Supporting the community’s marketing efforts is an important aspect of this role, as the Concierge often facilitates property tours and communicates with the public. This hands-on position sometimes extends to assisting in serving meals in the dining room, further adding to the resident experience and community atmosphere.
This role requires a calm and composed individual who can make independent decisions, especially in emergencies, and demonstrates a high degree of professionalism when interacting with a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, hands-on experience with Microsoft software, and exhibit a patient, cheerful, and enthusiastic approach in handling residents and visitors. Physically, the role is demanding and involves continuous walking and standing, occasional bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing stairs, alongside the capability to perform tasks in various environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
Compensation for this role ranges from $19.25 to $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position not only offers a competitive salary but also the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of seniors within a supportive and well-managed community setting. The Concierge will be a key representative of the community’s mission to offer seniors a life enriched with comfort and joy, ensuring that every visitor and resident feels welcomed, valued, and cared for from the very first point of contact.
