Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three plus years of supervisory experience in a bakery or food production environment
  • Valid Rhode Island Food Safety Manager Certificate or ability to obtain
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 plus pounds and stand or walk up to eight hours
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Three plus years of supervisory experience in a bakery or food production environment
  • Strong knowledge of bread and pastry production including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking
  • Understanding of GMP, food safety standards, and bakery equipment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid Rhode Island Food Safety Manager Certificate or ability to obtain
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish a plus

Job Duties

  • Supervise and train overnight baking, packing, and delivery teams
  • Ensure product quality and consistency across all items
  • Schedule and manage staff, ensuring shift coverage and performance
  • Maintain sanitation and GMP standards, bakery cleanliness, and equipment
  • Support product development and seasonal offerings
  • Manage delivery logistics to cafes and wholesale partners
  • Use 7Shifts and internal tools to track performance and communicate daily updates
  • Partner with leadership on staffing, training, and operational improvements
