Job Requirements
- at least 18 years of age
- experience working in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier items with assistance
- ability to work overnight hours from 10pm to 6am
- ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- regular, predictable attendance
- ability to work in temperature extremes including freezers and ovens
- ability to bend, handle, pull, reach, push, and stoop as needed
Job Qualifications
- experience working in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake unfinished bakery goods following product handling information
- use bakery production charts for production and display needs
- package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and others
- unpack bakery goods from freezer and display proper amounts
- decorate special orders or case products
- rotate and store bakery products following food safety and freshness policies
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products meet company quality standards
- check for out-of-date products and follow salvage and stale product procedures
- generate labels and price tickets for baked goods
- perform price check functions when necessary
- clean and sanitize bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- operate bakery equipment safely and according to policies
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other assigned duties including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable attendance as an essential job function
