Job Description
Methodical is a coffee culture company dedicated to roasting exceptional coffee and selecting premium teas that honor the life each product has lived and the skilled people who cultivate them. Our passion extends beyond simply sourcing; we strive to discover and create products that elevate everyday life while strengthening connections and community. At Methodical, we are committed to offering high-quality products paired with world-class customer service and highly executed experiences to craft a unique and memorable environment for both our team and customers.
We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Baker to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their baking skills, contribute meaningfully to a growing company, and embrace a vibrant culture within a supportive, healthy work environment. Bakers at Methodical specialize in producing a variety of baked goods including breads, laminated pastries, muffins, and cookies. This position demands extreme attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions perfectly, and a great sense of humor to thrive in our dynamic team.
As a Baker, you will be primarily responsible for managing regular overnight bake-offs, preparing, baking, and assembling menu items to exact specifications. You will also play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in workstations, pantries, and refrigerators. Safety is paramount, so adherence to food handling practices as outlined by DHEC and ServSafe is essential. This position is part-time with overnight shifts based onsite at our Commons location in Greenville, SC.
In this role, team members are held accountable not only for their individual performance but also for their contribution to the overall success of the team. Our Bakers are expected to develop a deep understanding of their craft, continually enhance their skills, execute their duties to the highest standards, and uphold the positive culture we nurture at Methodical. Effective communication with teammates, leadership, and customers is critical to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Working at Methodical means being a part of a company that values learning, detail orientation, and teamwork. We seek individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy early morning shifts, and are enthusiastic about food and coffee culture. Physical capability is important as the job requires handling sharp objects, working with high heat, lifting heavy items, and standing for long periods. Most importantly, we want team members who can maintain composure in a busy environment, work well closely with others, and contribute positively to our community through excellent customer experiences.
