Job Requirements

  • Understanding of luxury and quality environment
  • College or vocational degree required
  • Minimum three years experience in Front Office of a Four or Five Star and/or Four to Five Diamond hotel with 300+ rooms
  • Two years progressive management experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • College or vocational degree
  • Minimum three years experience in Front Office of a Four or Five Star and/or Four to Five Diamond hotel with 300+ rooms
  • Two years of progressive management experience
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various departments
  • Knowledge of standard hotel emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Assist Front Office Manager in overseeing and supervising all Front Desk Agents, PBX operators, concierge, door staff, valets, and bell staff to ensure orderly workflow and maximum guest service
  • Assist in supervising Front Office, Reservations, and PBX colleagues
  • interview, hire, and train new colleagues
  • conduct performance reviews
  • Provide a strong sense of arrival and welcome
  • greet guests warmly and efficiently
  • introduce guests personally to front desk agents
  • Assist with luggage and storage concerns
  • Anticipate and handle guest issues and concerns
  • Escort VIPs to rooms whenever possible
  • Manage human and vehicular traffic flow
  • direct guest service manpower to ensure attentive coverage in key areas
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of lobby, motor entrance, front desk, bell stand, and bell closet
  • Coach and counsel staff to correct inappropriate behavior or substandard performance
  • Approve breaks, leaving times, town car usage
  • supervise room deliveries
  • Assign duties and assist in opening and closing of shifts
  • Observe departmental standards for image, appearance, and grooming
  • Ensure smooth operations in conjunction with arrivals, departures, and occupancy levels
  • Coordinate with Director of Rooms, group coordinators, reservations, and housekeeping departments
  • Review and analyze daily balance summaries, room status reports, and arrival reports
  • Practice emergency procedures and assist in hotel emergency situations as needed
