The Sales Representative role at ABC Supply is a dynamic position ideal for enthusiastic sales professionals who enjoy building lasting relationships and promoting high-quality products. This role involves selling residential and commercial building materials directly to contractor customers and prospecting new business opportunities within the building industry. Outside Sales Representatives are equipped with exclusive sales tools designed to enhance their effectiveness in business-to-business sales, along with high earning potential through a commission-based compensation structure complemented by a competitive base salary ranging from $30,000 to $150,000 per year. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, catering to a balanced work-life engagement.

In this position, individuals will leverage their strong communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate and manage customer relationships successfully. Their responsibilities include identifying sales opportunities by analyzing customer buying patterns, making strategic cold calls, and following up on sales leads to schedule appointments with prospective clients. Representatives provide exceptional service by addressing customer concerns promptly and delivering product training to clients and their teams. They also assist customers with the credit application process and manage accounts receivable by connecting on outstanding payments and collections as needed. Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Be able to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Vehicle insurance must meet company requirements
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm
  • Experience in sales or customer service is preferred
  • Willingness to work in a commission-based role with a base salary
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • College degree in business, sales, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Specific industry knowledge including familiarity with product lines and building contractor processes is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Cultivating and managing customer relationships
  • Utilizing sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
  • Making cold calls to prospective customers
  • Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
  • Following up with customers and providing solutions, should a service concern arise
  • Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
  • Assisting customers in the credit application process
  • Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
