The Outreach Executive I role at Oak Street Health is a pivotal position responsible for building and nurturing relationships within the community to help Medicare seniors access healthcare services that improve their quality of life. As an Outreach Executive, your primary purpose is to engage and educate seniors about the benefits and availability of Oak Street Health’s services, encouraging them to become patients. This role directly contributes to expanding the health network’s patient base and is instrumental in driving new patient growth within a designated territory.

Working closely alongside Outreach Managers, Directors, and Community Relationship Managers, the Outreach Executive is tasked with developing effective strategies to generate leads and foster meaningful connections with Medicare seniors. This role involves active community presence through event planning, local outreach, and collaborative initiatives with healthcare stakeholders such as Insurance Agents and other Outreach Executives.

Additionally, an Outreach Executive must maintain an expert-level knowledge of internal sales systems and marketing programs, regularly attending training to stay updated on new healthcare services, workflows, and initiatives. The role also requires proficiency in prospecting through various channels including cold calling, email networking, and digital leads, as well as managing ongoing communication with leads to convert them into patients.

Beyond sales, the Outreach Executive serves as a vital point of contact for clinical and center teams, offering support by addressing questions, concerns, or complaints from prospective patients. This responsibility ensures a seamless and reassuring experience for Medicare seniors, thereby reinforcing Oak Street Health’s commitment to compassionate care.

This role is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate an ability to influence and engage diverse populations. Fluency in languages such as Spanish, Polish, or Russian is highly valued to better serve the multicultural communities within the assigned territories. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Medicare seniors
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in additional languages such as Spanish, Polish, or Russian is preferred
  • US work authorization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community outreach activities

Job Duties

  • Generating leads by effectively engaging Medicare senior community through event execution and local community outreach
  • Maintaining internal sales system knowledge and marketing programs by attending scheduled meetings to learn about new updates on services, workstreams, and initiatives
  • Prospecting and cold calling to prospects and new leads assigned to you
  • Nurturing prospective patients and prospect for new patients with an ambitious mentality via email, phone, and networking
  • Collaborating with your Community Relationship Manager, other Outreach Executives, and your Outreach Manager/Outreach Director to drive lead generation with local community members or Insurance Agents
  • Maintaining consistent touchpoints with prospects to continuously engage prospects to drive new patient growth in assigned territory
  • Capturing and recording customer information and sales activity into customer relationship management system and other business systems
  • Acting as point of contact for both the clinical team/center team if center staff have any questions about the patient
  • Resolving any concerns and complaints new prospects and patients may have about Oak Street Health by working with prospect to understand the concern or directing the prospect or patient to another Oak Street employee
  • Other duties as assigned
