Job Requirements
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certification upon hire if not already certified
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Must have guest service experience, preferably in an upscale setting
- Food and beverage serving experience preferred
- Hotel experience preferred
- Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment
- Follow through on guest requests
- Ensure guest satisfaction
- Work as a team player
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Commitment to quality service
- Food and beverage knowledge
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to work under moderate supervision
- Maintains a clean and professional image at all times
- Must be 18 or older (position requires the delivery of alcohol to guests)

Job Duties
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness
- Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests
- Effectively merchandise food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
- Communicate with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction
- Clean and reset dirty tables according to standards
- Clean and polish water glasses and silverware
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Prepare work area for either opening or closing in accordance with company standards
- Ensure furniture and floors are kept clean and arranged
- Attend staff meetings to receive information and direction
- Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity and effectiveness
- Work well with a diverse FOH and BOH staff
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager
- Insure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and promptly record all transactions in the Micros system
- Maintain guest tabs and facilitate payment following procedures
- Serve food and beverage to guests following company steps of service and adhere to service times
- Follow daily checklists and side work
- Set-ups, stocks and breakdown of service and dining room following procedures
- Complete all assigned cleaning duties
- Comply with direction and instruction from the management team
