With a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction, System Transport has built a solid reputation in the transportation industry. The company focuses on supporting its drivers with competitive pay packages, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. System Transport operates a regional division known as Division 295, serving the western region of America with dedicated Over-The-Road (OTR) flatbed driving opportunities.
The role of an OTR Flatbed CDL-A Driver at System Transport offers an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers to engage in the transportation of critical goods including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Drivers play a vital role in maintaining the supply chain by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of these materials. This position is ideal for drivers who are ready to take on a dynamic and rewarding career with a company that values their contributions.
The job offers a full-time employment status with a competitive salary range between $46,956 and $82,940 annually. Pay is calculated per mile and is influenced by experience, route, attendance, and length of service. Drivers can expect to earn from $0.52 to $0.66 per mile and approximately $903.01 to $1,595.29 weekly. The compensation package is enhanced by additional pay for tarp handling, stops, detention times, border crossings, safety bonuses, and over-dimensional freight.
System Transport provides a well-structured paid orientation held in Spokane, Washington. During orientation, drivers receive airfare, accommodation in a single-occupancy room, and meals like breakfast and lunch, while dinner is left for personal exploration of the local area. The company prides itself on fostering a safe and supportive work culture that extends itself with a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long and short-term disability coverage, health savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions. Moreover, system Transport offers an employee assistance program and a transition package of $1,800.
The driver benefits further extend to generous paid time off with sick time accrual based on hours worked and increasing paid time off based on years of service. System Transport also enforces clear policies on pet and guest riders to maintain safety and comfort during travel. The company does not allow pets but permits guest riders aged seven years and older after 90 days of safe driving.
This role requires individuals with a valid Class A CDL license, a minimum of four months driving experience, a clean driving and background record, and the physical ability to handle the lifting of heavy tarps. While one year of truck driving experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Drivers must meet an application deadline by March 31, 2026, ensuring timely recruitment and onboarding. This is a unique opportunity to be America Proud and Flatbed Strong with System Transport, joining a committed team dedicated to excellence in flatbed freight transportation.
