Job Description

The Nurse Coordinator of Orthopedic Program position is a critical role at a thriving hospital in Southern California renowned for its acclaimed orthopedic service line. This opportunity combines impact, innovation, and career growth within a nationally respected healthcare organization known for its outstanding patient safety records, clinical excellence, and significant community contributions. The hospital has earned numerous accolades for quality outcomes, superior patient experience, and nursing professionalism, establishing itself as a leader in delivering exceptional orthopedic care. The work environment embraces cutting-edge orthopedic technologies including robotic-assisted joint replacement, advanced surgical navigation, and data-driven care pathways designed to reduce both length of hospital stay and patient readmissions.

As the Nurse Coordinator of Orthopedic Program, you will be an integral part of an advanced clinical setting, reporting directly to an experienced Orthopedic Service Line Director. You will maintain close collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and perioperative leadership to ensure seamless care delivery. This role is supported by a skilled team of surgeons, compassionate nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and a diverse interdisciplinary group that includes case management, physical and occupational therapy, anesthesia, and quality improvement specialists. Your responsibilities will encompass managing pre-operative education, patient navigation, pathway optimization such as Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, ongoing performance improvement initiatives, and ensuring readiness for accreditation. You will coordinate care seamlessly across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute settings focusing on total joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma patients.

Beyond professional responsibilities, the Nurse Coordinator of Orthopedic Program will enjoy an exceptional Southern California lifestyle. The hospital is nestled among picturesque mountains, desert landscapes, and palm-lined streets that offer year-round sunshine and abundant outdoor recreational activities like hiking, biking in nearby national parks, and championship golfing. The area is rich in cultural events including art festivals, open-air concerts, and family-oriented activities, complemented by vibrant culinary scenes, farmers markets, and easy access to coastal beaches. Located within reach of major destinations such as Los Angeles, San Diego, and the renowned wine country, the area offers an enviable balance of work and life.

This position offers competitive compensation up to $160,000 annually along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. The Nurse Coordinator of Orthopedic Program role presents an unmatched career advancement opportunity where you can influence measurable improvements across a top-tier orthopedic service line. Connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter to explore this exciting opportunity, and be part of a progressive team dedicated to excellence in orthopedic nursing and patient outcomes.
