The company operates with a strong commitment to community engagement, sustainability, and employee welfare, making it not only a retail giant but also an employer of choice for thousands of individuals looking to build a rewarding career. Walmart's supply chain operations are critical to the company’s success, ensuring that products are efficiently received, processed, and delivered to stores and customers on time. The company invests heavily in modern technology, employee training, and benefits that foster a supportive and dynamic workplace environment.
The role available within the Supply Chain Regional facility located at 21101 Johnson Rd, Apple Valley, CA, focuses on Freight Handling activities, which include receiving, unloading, processing, order filling, and shipping. This full-time position offers an hourly wage ranging from $23.30 to $26.80, with additional compensation such as annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premium pay ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may also be available depending on the schedule, facility, season, or specific duties performed. This role is critical in maintaining the seamless flow of goods and inventory through the supply chain, directly impacting Walmart’s ability to meet customer needs efficiently.
Employees in this position are expected to adhere to Walmart's high standards for workplace safety, productivity, and teamwork. The job offers weekend shifts, specifically the 4th shift, catering to those seeking flexible or non-traditional working hours. This program is designed to help associates pursue further education, from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, fully paid by Walmart including tuition, books, and fees.
Beyond competitive pay, Walmart provides an extensive range of benefits designed to promote the well-being of its employees. These benefits include comprehensive health coverage encompassing medical, vision, and dental care, financial benefits such as a 401(k) program, stock purchase plans, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off is generous, covering parental leave, family care leave, bereavement leave, jury duty, and voting leave, ensuring employees have time to manage life’s important moments. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursements.
Walmart is committed to fostering a drug-free workplace and implements a strict no-tolerance policy concerning illegal drug and alcohol use on the job. This ensures a safe and productive environment for all employees. The company values diversity, inclusivity, and a culture where associates can thrive both personally and professionally.
