Job Description

This job opportunity is with a healthcare facility seeking an OR Terminal Cleaning Attendant in the Environmental Services department. The facility prioritizes maintaining an exceptionally clean and sanitary environment, especially in the Operating Room (OR) suites, to ensure the safety and health of patients, staff, and visitors. This role is full-time, covering 2nd and 3rd shifts, and reports to the Environmental Services (EVS) Director. Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent
  • ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
  • ability to perform routine cleaning tasks
  • ability to maintain cleaning equipment
  • ability to follow EVS policies
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties
  • willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift
  • reliability and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
  • ability to follow established EVS Policy and Procedures
  • ability to perform routine repetitive cleaning tasks
  • ability to maintain equipment in good working condition
  • ability to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by supervisor
  • hospital experience preferred but not necessary

Job Duties

  • Perform terminal cleaning of OR suites including mopping and wet vacuuming floors
  • clean anesthesia carts and equipment
  • clean patient monitors and OR beds
  • clean reusable table straps and bed attachments
  • clean positioning devices and patient transfer devices
  • clean overhead procedure lights, tables, and mayo stands
  • clean mobile and fixed equipment
  • clean storage cabinets, supply carts, and furniture
  • clean light switches, door handles, push plates, telephones, and mobile communication devices
  • clean computer accessories, chairs, stools, and step stools
  • empty and clean trash and linen receptacles
  • adhere to EVS Policy and Procedure Manual guidelines
  • perform routine cleaning tasks as directed by EVS Lead or Director
  • maintain equipment in good working condition
  • perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by supervisor
