The position of Perioperative Acute Care Manager is a full-time day role within Florida Coast Medical Center focused on delivering superior nursing leadership in the surgical services environment. This role requires a registered nurse with extensive critical thinking skills who can coordinate clinical activities within surgical or operating room units effectively. The manager will work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure clinical excellence and patient safety, supervise ancillary staff, and lead unit-based performance improvement initiatives. This leadership position also serves as a resource instructor for competency assessment and staff education, emphasizing evidence-based practices and compliance with CDC guidelines. The role involves facilitating patient safety goals, implementing and measuring performance improvement activities, reviewing nursing documentation for accuracy, and ensuring medication reconciliation is consistently completed at 100 percent. Additionally, the Perioperative Acute Care Manager assists in staff scheduling and provides clinical support when necessary, acting as a role model to elevate clinical practice standards.

This role requires a seasoned nurse with 7-10 years of experience preferably in critical surgical services, operating room leadership, or quality improvement. The candidate must hold a current registered nurse license and certifications in BLS/CPR and ACLS from the American Heart Association. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, indicative of the advanced clinical and leadership competencies expected for this position.
