Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one year previous hands-on patient care experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum one year experience in an operating room environment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and read and write English
- Ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Previous OR experience required

Job Duties
- Assist with physical preparation of patient and environment prior to surgery
- Transport and transfer patients as necessary
- Function as a porter between departments ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies, information, specimens, and products
- Ensure safe care adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Promote individual professional growth by meeting continuing education and competency requirements
- Serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
- Demonstrate commitment to compassionate and personalized patient experiences
- Perform other duties as assigned
