Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months experience as a nurse's aide preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 months to one (1) year of experience as a nurse's aide preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Transport pre- and post-operative patients to/from the Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- Prepare and assist with the transfer of patients to/from the Operating Room Table/Stretcher, and assist with the positioning of patients for the surgical procedure/introduction of spinal anesthesia
- Assist Operating Room Nursing Staff with post-mortem care
- Hold extremities during the preparation/draping process of the surgical procedure
- Prepare the identified surgical site and the appropriate surrounding area
- Bring equipment to/from the storage area to/from rooms as requested
- Handle instrument tray delivery/returns and take specimens to the Laboratory and Blood Bank, in the absence of primary personnel (observing infection control protocol)
- Clean Operating Room Suite between cases, dispose of trash/laundry in appropriate hold containers
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
