Job Description
Avolta is a prominent global travel retail and food and beverage company operating under various brands including Dufry, HMSHost Corporation, and Hudson among others. The company specializes in providing exceptional services primarily in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) sector, catering to millions of customers across multiple locations worldwide. Known for its dynamic culture, commitment to quality, and a strong customer-centric approach, Avolta prides itself on nurturing a diverse workforce and offering significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
The General Manager II (GM) role at Avolta is a pivotal leadership position tasked with managing a high-volume QSR restaurant or a small cluster of restaurants or points-of-sale in geographic proximity, with expected sales exceeding $5 million. This role carries the responsibility of ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently, maintains excellent operational and financial standards, and provides a clean, welcoming environment for both customers and staff. As a GM, you will exercise sound judgment and discretion in all areas of operations, from staffing and financial management to compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who is adept at supervising daily opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, vendor relations, and maintaining operational equipment. The GM will lead staffing efforts, including recruitment, scheduling, coaching, and staff development, fostering a positive work atmosphere aligned with the company's business goals. Financial acumen is essential, as the role involves monitoring budgets, implementing revenue growth strategies, and managing costs effectively.
The position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and typically reports to a Director of Operations or similar zone, cluster, or area leader. The General Manager II is expected to work a flexible and rotating schedule, covering various shifts including openings, busy periods, and closings to ensure consistent leadership presence. This role offers an attractive compensation range from $75,886 to $89,278 annually, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required.
Avolta values its employees and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, generous paid time off including vacation, flexible, and sick leave, holiday pay, company-paid life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Additionally, employees enjoy benefits such as tuition reimbursement, employee discounts across all company brands, access to an employee assistance program, exciting training and career advancement opportunities, and a referral program that rewards team members for bringing in new talent.
Working at Avolta means joining a company that emphasizes equal employment opportunities, respects diversity, and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace. The General Manager II role is more than a management position; it is an opportunity to lead within a thriving company that supports growth, values employee contributions, and champions a positive customer experience. If you are a seasoned operational leader looking to take your career to the next level in a well-established company with robust support systems and rewarding benefits, this role could be an ideal fit.
