The Label Operator role at Lassonde Pappas & Co. is a vital position based in Sparta, Michigan, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This role involves the operation and management of labeling machinery within the production line. Label Operators play an essential role in upholding food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance according to company policies and SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements. They are also encouraged to actively communicate potential food safety issues and collaborate with maintenance and supervisory personnel to minimize downtime and resolve operational challenges. Additionally, they provide support by covering label inspectors during breaks, ensuring continuous production flow.

This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate machinery safely within varied environmental conditions such as wet or humid areas and exposure to elevated noise and chemical substances.
