The role available is for a Mixer and Ingredient Preparer at the Van Nuys, CA bakery location. This position is a pivotal part of the production team, responsible for accurately scaling and mixing ingredients to produce uniform, high-quality dough per recipe specifications. The role directly supports production efficiency and upholds stringent food safety and quality standards. Working mostly on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, the position requires weekend availability. Compensation ranges from $20.75 to $22.50 hourly, reflecting the critical importance of this role. The Mixer and Ingredient Preparer ensures dough consistency by monitoring dough temperature, texture, and development while maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas in compliance with GMPs and sanitation standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to push/pull a 1,000lb wheeled dough bowl with appropriate techniques/support
  • Ability to lift 50lb flour bags and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Ability to read, follow, and document recipes and process steps
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in mixing, ingredient scaling, or food manufacturing
  • Familiarity with dough development and bakery processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and mix ingredients according to recipe and process specifications to ensure consistent dough quality
  • Monitor dough temperatures, texture, and development throughout mixing to meet desired characteristics
  • Maintain accurate ingredient scaling, inventory control, and documentation for traceability and compliance
  • Support Rheon line capacity by monitoring dough flow and adjusting processes accordingly
  • Maintain clean, organized mixing areas, coolers, tools, and equipment in alignment with GMPs and sanitation standards
  • Communicate product, equipment, or safety concerns to the Lead Mixer or Supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen, HACCP, and quality requirements
