Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to pull wheeled dough bowl of approximately 1000 lbs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs flour bags consistently for short periods
- Ability to work the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Commitment to food safety and quality standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
- Willingness to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience with ingredient preparation and mixing in a bakery or food production environment preferred
- Ability to operate and monitor mixing equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise recipe specifications
- Physical ability to lift and handle heavy ingredients and materials
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors
- Basic math skills for accurate measuring and documentation
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients accurately as specified by recipe
- Feed starters, sponges, mother, potatoes, peppers, onions, etc.
- Prepare and mix ingredients to specified mixing time and temperature
- Continually monitor and control temperatures of dough during the mixing process and the final mixing stage
- Add ingredients in the order specified by recipe to obtain desired characteristics
- Visually and physically verify the texture of the dough to assure targeted texture characteristics
- Monitor and control efficiency of Rheon Line to assure that dough mixes do not exceed the capacity
- Continually monitor and control ingredient inventory
- Assure that refrigerated ingredients are maintained in the coolers
- Incorporate waste dough from the Rheon Line by allowed percentages when specifications permit
- Ensure weight scales function accurately
- Document mixing data accurately and timely
- Maintain mixing equipment clean and sanitized
- Identify batch containers accurately and weigh as required
- Maintain coolers organized and clean
- Keep mixing and ingredient areas organized and clean
- Lift and dump 50 lbs. flour bags consistently for short periods
- Monitor that starter on floor does not exceed use time
- Complete mixing documents and place them appropriately
- Maintain and improve quality, legality, and safety of products and processes
- Keep assigned work area clean and report any potential contamination or suspicious activity promptly to a supervisor
