This role is for a full-time non-management position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott. The position revolves primarily around front desk operations and guest service excellence. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upholding the high standards of service synonymous with the Marriott brand. They will be responsible for handling guest check-ins and check-outs using the hotel’s computerized systems, verifying reservations and guest identities, issuing room keys, and ensuring that room assignments meet the guests' expectations and availability. Additionally, this role involves processing sales by assigning charges from various outlets such as the gym or retail stores to guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to market pricing and documentation of any exceptions.

As an ambassador of hospitality, the candidate will also assist in training, evaluating, motivating, and advising fellow employees while promoting a culture of fairness, safety, and open communication. The job requires a focus on safety reporting, compliance with company policies, maintaining professional appearance standards, and protecting confidential information. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Proficiency in English
  • Commitment to comply with company policies
  • Ability to work full time
  • Availability to work onsite at Philadelphia Airport Marriott

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • Experience as a supervisor is desirable but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and reservation software

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment

Job Duties

  • Complete assigned cashier and closing reports in the computer system
  • Review employee shift logs and daily memo books and document pertinent information
  • Contact appropriate person or department to resolve guest calls, requests or issues
  • Process all guest check-in registrations by confirming reservations and verifying guest identity
  • Assign rooms, issue, and activate room keys
  • Sell rooms or accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
  • Ensure rates conform to market standards and document exceptions
  • Ensure accounts from various points of sale are scanned and charged to guest room accounts
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees
  • Act as the point of contact for the 'Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open Door Policy' process
  • Report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions
  • Conduct safety training and obtain certifications
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • Receive and greet all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate service needs and respond
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Assist persons with disabilities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Handle telephone calls using proper protocol
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ensure quality expectations and standards are met
