The Operations Manager role at Penske Logistics is a critical leadership position designed to manage and direct daily activities at one of their operational locations in Fontana, California. The successful candidate will lead a team of supervisors and associates, focusing on achieving customer requirements while aligning with the overarching goals and objectives of Penske. This position offers a competitive salary range of $83,600 to $112,800 annually, complemented by a performance bonus of up to 30 percent, reflecting the company’s recognition of high performance and leadership excellence.

The Operations Manager will oversee recruiting, training, developing, and retaining quality associates to ensure the workforce is competent and motivated. Effective communication and strong relationships with customers, team members, and supporting departments are essential to success in this role. The manager will ensure the operation meets or exceeds customer key performance metrics by identifying opportunities for improvements such as route optimization, carrier selection, and asset utilization. Collaboration with other Penske sites to share best practices and leverage resources is also expected.

Financial stewardship is another major aspect of the role, including developing and executing annual financial plans, managing billing and payroll accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of the Profit & Loss statement. Safety leadership is paramount, requiring the manager to lead by example in maintaining an incident-free safety culture, proactively addressing unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. The manager will also engage in growth-oriented activities such as identifying profitable business opportunities and tracking value delivered to customers.

This full-time, first-shift position operates Monday through Friday with some flexibility based on business needs.
