Established in 2015, OVG has rapidly expanded its footprint to operate seven world-class venues and collaborate with some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide, spanning four continents. The company's innovative approach to enhancing live event experiences strategically combines state-of-the-art facilities with exceptional operational management to deliver unforgettable entertainment moments to audiences around the globe.\n\nThe Operations Manager position at OVG presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to oversee all operational aspects of events and facility management at the Vystar Pavilion and Port Wentworth Ice Cove. The Vystar Pavilion is a premier 4,500-seat outdoor venue featuring luxury suites, club seating, and first-rate food and beverage services, hosting national touring concerts, family shows, comedy performances, and other major entertainment events. Meanwhile, the Port Wentworth Ice Cove supports a range of activities including youth hockey, college hockey, skating events, and amateur sports. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating all facets of events from setup to breakdown, ensuring seamless operations that reflect OVG's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.\n\nIn this capacity, the Operations Manager will lead the recruitment, training, motivation, and evaluation of all operations, parking, and housekeeping personnel, working closely with third-party vendors and internal departments. This role demands a proactive leader capable of coordinating interdepartmental communication, delegating responsibilities, and maintaining ongoing upkeep of the facility. The Operations Manager will also assist in managing ice rink functions, including the scheduling of staff for ice-related activities. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $55,000 to $60,000, along with comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off including vacation days, sick leave, and holidays. The role requires flexibility, readiness to work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and an extended number of consecutive days to accommodate event schedules.\n\nResponsibilities unique to the role include overseeing day-to-day building operations, maintenance and special projects, managing parking procedures, coordinating facility setup for a diverse range of events, and supervising staff teams during event setup, operation, and breakdown phases. The Operations Manager will also manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), oversee purchases related to safety, housekeeping, parking supplies, and production equipment, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, safety regulations, risk management protocols, and emergency procedures. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to investigate and resolve operational issues, maintain team coordination, and deliver accurate information critical to event execution.\n\nThis role further involves troubleshooting various equipment such as Zambonis, golf carts, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and other power-driven tools, maintaining specialty equipment including performing preventive maintenance on ice-resurfacing machinery, and coordinating efforts for load-ins and load-outs which routinely occur outside standard business hours. Additionally, the Operations Manager will support upkeep of dressing rooms, locker rooms, and interior facility enhancements, while collaborating across OVG Savannah properties including Enmarket Arena, Johnny Mercer Theatre, and future ventures. This role requires a knowledgeable, meticulous professional with a firm grasp of arena and entertainment venue operations, who thrives in a high-pressure, dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering premier live event experiences.
