Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of management experience in hotel operations
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations
- Proficiency in computer software relevant to hotel operations
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining grooming and attendance standards
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
- Capacity to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to comply with safety and security policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Three to five years of management experience in hotel operations
- Knowledge of loyalty programs, brand standards, and hospitality systems preferred
- Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and property management systems
- Knowledge of employment laws, safety regulations, and labor relations
- Ability to work independently and self-driven
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Familiarity with operational software such as PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
Job Duties
- Coordinate, direct, and manage the hotel operations to achieve maximum profitability, ensure guest satisfaction, protect financial assets, maintain the building
- Work with management team to manage property activities including employees, maintenance, sales, profit and loss controls
- Maximize hotel revenues through up-sell programs, occupancy strategies, and outlet revenues
- Set quarterly department goals and monitor progress
- Maintain standards of guest services and consistent positive guest experiences
- Oversee guest service programs and handle guest needs and complaints professionally
- Assist with HR functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
- Control payroll costs and expenses per budgets and forecasts
- Manage property level systems and control procedures for compliance
- Encourage open communication and cooperation among departments
- Monitor supplies inventory and ensure service tools availability
- Ensure facility compliance with regulatory laws such as OSHA
- Attend operational and departmental meetings
- Recommend improvements in operations and procedures
- Practice safe work habits and ensure safety among staff
- Resolve difficult guest problems
- Monitor and provide staff feedback and performance evaluations
- Support sales and operations areas to meet cleanliness and appearance standards
