The Operations Manager position at United Warehouse is a pivotal, full-time role classified as exempt, reporting directly to the General Manager. This strategic leadership position commands responsibility for overseeing all warehouse operations and staff, including non-exempt warehouse personnel. The Operations Manager will be instrumental in driving productivity, efficiency, and profitability at the 3PL distribution center, managing core business functions such as shipping, receiving, order processing, packing, product put-away, returns, and inventory control. This role requires a self-starting, people-oriented individual with at least 4 to 7 years of experience in warehouse management and proficiency in warehouse management systems.

With a first-year compensation range of $65,000 to $85,000, this role not only offers competitive pay but also a robust benefits package. The Operations Manager will maintain clear and effective communication with site leadership and internal customers to ensure that operational needs are met with sensitivity and precision. This includes managing support functions essential for external customer satisfaction and participating actively in budget planning and cost management to align operations with organizational goals. The role involves implementing and monitoring quality management systems, resolving operational issues promptly, fostering collaboration across internal teams, and regularly measuring and reporting on cost and service performance indicators.

Furthermore, the Operations Manager will lead efforts to create a clean, safe, secure, and efficient work environment. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire workflow in the distribution center, from receiving and put-away of products to picking and shipping, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The role demands proactive leadership through daily warehouse meetings, safety program management, and direct personnel administration including hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. The successful candidate will also establish cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy, manage claims and overtime hours, and prepare and manage warehouse budgets within authorized limits.
