With a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, WM offers a wide range of waste management services including collection, disposal, recycling, and renewable energy solutions. The company operates throughout North America, supporting businesses, communities, and residential customers with innovative approaches to environmental challenges. Known for its extensive network, robust safety protocols, and dedication to employee development, WM has established itself as a trusted partner in the waste management industry.
This position is a field-focused leadership role responsible for the onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of frontline drivers and helpers within WM's transportation operations. The role requires spending approximately 80 percent of the workday out in the field working directly alongside frontline employees to build positive relationships, provide support, and ensure operational excellence. Candidates will lead and model safety practices, perform investigations for injuries and incidents, and maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The position requires a minimum of two years' experience in transportation management and involves regular review of operational documentation including driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs), attendance tracking, and route audits. The successful candidate will also engage in daily communication with new frontline employees to deliver consistent training and feedback to support their success. This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is committed to fostering employee growth and safety within a leading waste management organization.
