Job Description
Hyatt Hotels is a globally recognized hospitality company renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Known for its innovative approach to accommodation, Hyatt consistently combines dramatic design, innovative cuisine, and attentive service to create an inspiring and memorable stay for every guest. Hyatt Place, a distinct brand within the Hyatt portfolio, elevates the hotel experience by providing a relaxed style without compromising high standards. This brand is focused on delivering a new hotel experience that balances comfort with contemporary amenities tailored to meet the needs of modern travelers.
The role of Operations Manager at Hyatt Place is crucial to the hotel’s commitment to excellence in guest service and operational success. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations to ensure alignment with planned goals, which include operational integrity, revenue growth, house profit maximization, and maintaining competitive RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) index. This role embodies leadership and a hands-on management style to uphold company standards for guest satisfaction, employee engagement, quality assurance, and asset protection.
The Operations Manager’s responsibilities extend across critical departments such as housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage. This multi-department oversight requires a leader who can maintain the highest quality in customer service and guest suite cleanliness. Working closely with various teams, the Operations Manager drives operational excellence while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience, particularly in hospitality or food and beverage establishments, demonstrating their ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. A preferred educational background includes a college degree in hospitality management, equipping the candidate with fundamental industry knowledge and managerial principles. Proficiency in intermediate word processing and spreadsheet software is necessary to manage operational reports and communicate effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills are equally important to interact with staff, guests, and upper management.
This position requires flexibility in work hours due to the variable nature of hotel operations and management demands. The Operations Manager must exhibit strong organizational, project management, and detail-oriented skills, ensuring the ability to multi-task and meet diverse deadlines efficiently. Personal traits such as a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for fostering a productive team dynamic and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Overall, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading hospitality brand committed to setting new benchmarks in the hotel industry. The Operations Manager at Hyatt Place plays a vital role in bringing the brand’s vision to life, ensuring guests receive an inspiring stay while maintaining a thriving and efficient operation behind the scenes.
