The role of Audio Visual Operations Manager (AVOM) at Curio Hilton Hotel is a critical, full-time position directly supporting the hotel’s busy event calendar. As the AVOM, you will manage the comprehensive audio visual systems within varied event venues, ensuring all technical aspects run smoothly and on schedule for each function. This role demands a highly detail-oriented professional who is both creative and self-motivated, with excellent technical, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. You will oversee tracking the technical needs for events, scheduling and training technicians, and providing hands-on support to guarantee a flawless execution of audiovisual setups. Your ability to multitask on simultaneous projects, navigate complex AV environments, and adhere to strict deadlines will be essential to success. This position requires availability for weekend, evening, and on-call shifts as it is based on-site to directly address the dynamic nature of event operations. Beyond technical proficiency, you will take a leadership role in staff development, managing labor scheduling and development, asset acquisition and management, and fostering effective communication across all departments and client interactions. Moreover, participation in property-wide training programs and maintaining compliance with safety regulations underscores the position’s commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth. Reporting directly to the Curio Hilton Hotel General Manager and Corporate Audio Visual Directors, you will be integral to upholding the hotel’s reputation for excellence in event technology management and guest service.
