The Operations Manager role at Hyatt Place is a pivotal management position responsible for the smooth operation of the hotel. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, this role requires someone who is passionate about upholding excellence in guest service and teamwork. The Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day hotel operations to meet and exceed goals related to operational integrity, revenue growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Key performance indicators include revenue management, house profit, and the RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) index, all while adhering to Hyatt’s company standards for quality assurance, associate satisfaction, and asset protection.
This position involves direct oversight of several critical hotel departments including housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage services. A hands-on leadership style is necessary to ensure consistent quality in service delivery and cleanliness throughout the guest suites and hotel environment. The role demands strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively alongside the ability to motivate and lead teams. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience in hotel operations or similar environment
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- strong leadership and team management abilities
- good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- proficiency with basic computer applications
- commitment to high standards of service and cleanliness
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- supervisory experience preferred
- 1-2+ years experience in guest service oriented food and beverage establishment preferred
- college degree in hospitality management preferred
- intermediate skills in word and excel required
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours
