Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma, college degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of previous hotel management experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience in hotel operations
  • Food and beverage experience preferred
  • Extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees consistently
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Customer-focused approach to deliver optimal satisfaction
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods
  • No travel required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience preferred
  • Prior hotel leadership experience with proven success in leading teams
  • Experience in food and beverage preferred
  • Strong business acumen and extensive financial knowledge
  • Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated drive for results and operational efficiency
  • Strong customer focus to enhance employee and guest satisfaction
  • Valid driver's license from the appropriate state

Job Duties

  • Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
  • Manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage and labor expenses to within budgeted parameters
  • Ensure service, technical skills and other training occurs throughout the property to support successful daily operations
  • Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of rooms and entire building of the hotel
  • Effectively run and oversee the housekeeping department ensuring it operates effectively on a daily basis
  • Review financial reports and statements to assess property performance versus budget and develop strategies to improve performance
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with direct reports and team, ensuring open communication
  • Hire team members demonstrating expertise, creativity, and leadership to meet business needs
  • Foster team commitment to exceptional service and model desired service behaviors
  • Serve as a guest advocate to resolve guest and operational issues
  • Be visible and interface regularly with customers to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Provide feedback to team members on service behaviors and conduct training as needed
  • Analyze guest feedback and service issues to identify trends and implement improvements
  • Ensure the building is well maintained and operational areas exceed guest expectations
  • Make decisions to remove obstacles to team success and ensure adequate resources
  • Inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Administer policies fairly and consistently and recognize team member performance
  • Ensure property meets franchise standards
  • Maintain the property as a safe and secure facility
  • Communicate and ensure execution of hotel emergency procedures
