Job Requirements

  • Three or more years of previous hotel management experience preferred
  • Food and beverage experience preferred
  • Previous hotel leadership experience with proven success
  • Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively and consistently
  • At least a high school diploma with a college degree preferred
  • Extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
  • Valid driver’s license from the appropriate state
  • Demonstrated drive for results in prior leadership roles
  • Action orientation to work efficiently toward operational objectives
  • Strong time management skills to meet commitments across multiple roles
  • Customer focus to deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
  • Manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage, and labor expenses within budgeted parameters
  • Ensure service, technical skills, and other training throughout the property to support daily operations
  • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of rooms and entire building
  • Oversee housekeeping department to ensure effective daily operation
  • Review financial reports and statements to monitor property performance against budget
  • Develop strategies to improve performance based on financial analysis
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with direct reports and team
  • Solicit team member feedback actively using an open door policy
  • Hire team members demonstrating strong expertise and leadership
  • Foster team commitment to exceptional service and participate in daily meetings
  • Serve as guest advocate to resolve operational and guest issues
  • Interface with customers regularly to obtain feedback
  • Provide feedback on team members service behaviors
  • Analyze guest feedback and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction
  • Ensure building maintenance and operational areas meet guest expectations
  • Make decisions to oversee team performance and remove obstacles
  • Inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Administer policies fairly and consistently
  • Ensure compliance with franchise standards
  • Maintain safe and secure facility for guests and teams
  • Communicate and ensure execution of hotel emergency procedures
