Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years progressive experience in hotel operations
  • minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • proficiency in Windows operating system
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends
  • physical ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally
  • able to multitask and prioritize
  • maintain high personal grooming standards including wearing name tags
  • comply with company standards and safety regulations
  • maintain confidentiality
  • commitment to productivity and problem-solving
  • able to handle guest and employee concerns effectively
  • attend required meetings and trainings

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive hotel experience
  • 2 or more years in supervisory roles
  • proficiency in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • ability to work long hours
  • effective verbal and written communication with employees and guests
  • attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented attitude
  • effective multitasking and prioritization skills
  • understanding and clarifying concerns from employees and guests

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with managing the Front Office operation
  • provide support to other hotel departments including Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering
  • provide strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests
  • provide shift coverage in Food and Beverage operations as needed
  • balance hotel room type inventory
  • ensure all Front Desk and Food and Beverage areas meet Paramount standards including cleanliness and signage
  • monitor and manage upsell program
  • handle guest special requests and customer complaints during shifts
  • perform front desk duties
  • investigate and resolve complaints, disturbances, and emergencies during shift
  • manage employee payroll, track attendance and conduct call-arounds for overtime
  • coach, train, counsel hourly associates and administer discipline
  • perform Night Audit functions and produce related reports
  • prepare and distribute reports as required
  • attend and contribute to meetings to maintain favorable working relationships and promote morale, productivity, and efficiency
  • participate in Manager On Duty coverage as required
