The company prides itself on fostering a dynamic workplace culture that values flexibility, teamwork, and professional growth. Employment opportunities at the Lake Charles Event Center are designed to accommodate a variety of schedules, making it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking part-time positions with flexible hours.
Currently, ASM Global has immediate openings in its Operations and Housekeeping Department. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling opportunities, perfect for candidates who can work nights, weekends, and holidays as events require. Employees in this department play a critical role in ensuring the facility is impeccably maintained and operationally ready to host events of any size and type.
The Operations/Housekeeping team is responsible for performing a wide range of duties, including cleaning the facility before, during, and after events, managing housekeeping equipment, responding promptly to issues such as spills or maintenance needs, and setting up venues for various event configurations. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and light maintenance work.
Additionally, team members will operate motorized equipment including forklifts and lifts, assist with loading and unloading deliveries, and ensure all event areas meet safety and cleanliness standards. The role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a customer-focused approach to responding to guest inquiries. Experience in housekeeping or floor technician work is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team under fast-paced and sometimes challenging conditions.
ASM Global emphasizes a commitment to equal employment opportunities and encourages applications from women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans. As a VEVRAA federal contractor, ASM Global ensures a fair and inclusive hiring process. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background check to qualify for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to join a reputable, global company with a strong presence in the Lake Charles community and who desire a flexible, part-time position where they can contribute directly to the success of diverse events and the upkeep of an esteemed venue.
