As part of our rapidly expanding team, we are currently seeking Operations Associates and Baristas who possess a unique blend of operational expertise and food and beverage preparation skills. This role is integral to Gopuff’s promise of fast, accurate, and high-quality delivery service. The Operations Associate, Barista role involves multiple facets of daily operations, including beverage and food preparation, inventory management, order packaging, and facility upkeep. Employees in this role are expected to prepare handcrafted Starbucks drinks following strict recipes and presentation standards, guaranteeing consistency and exceptional customer experiences. Additionally, this role requires receiving and unpacking product deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory and addressing any discrepancies to prevent stock issues. Picking and packing customer orders efficiently and carefully is crucial, as is maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, cafe, and warehouse areas to adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
The position demands a hands-on, flexible team member who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. This includes managing waste and spoilage through established FIFO (First In, First Out) practices and monitoring temperature-sensitive items according to food safety protocols. The role also involves operating various equipment like pallet jacks and carts to handle products safely. Employees must be prepared to work in diverse environments, including freezer sections and multi-story facilities, and participate in mandatory Starbucks training and Gopuff compliance standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 49 lbs during shifts
- Comfortable working flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Food service, retail, or operations experience preferred but not required
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and multi-step processes
- Strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- Prepare quality Starbucks beverages and food menu items by following recipes, production cards, and presentation standards
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all packaged food and beverage items staged for delivery
- Receive, unpack, and replenish product deliveries
- confirm inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders with speed and precision
- Maintain organization and cleanliness across the kitchen, café, and facility spaces
- Manage waste and spoilage by following FIFO and mindful preparation practices
- Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items per food safety standards
- Complete and document cleaning tasks as outlined in best practices
- Safely handle, scan, and move product
- operate carts, pallet jacks, and dollies as needed
- Work in varying environments, including freezers and multiple floors within the site
- Complete required Starbucks training and uphold Gopuff and Starbucks safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
- Perform other duties based on business needs
