Job Requirements

  • u.s. citizenship or current authorization to work in the u.s.
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • no education requirement
  • two years of airline or military related work experience preferred
  • able to lift and move items of 70 pounds or more
  • able to climb, bend, kneel and stand frequently and for extended periods
  • able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • able to comply with company attendance standards
  • ability to work shift work and/or overtime
  • must maintain well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • may be required to obtain a customs seal for international flights
  • able to meet physical ability requirements
  • no work authorization sponsorship available

Job Qualifications

  • gsc qualified
  • comply with dot drug and alcohol testing program
  • ability to read documents, follow instructions, and learn ramp operations procedures
  • ability to type and use a computer keyboard efficiently
  • good written and oral communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • ability to effectively communicate verbally by telephone, face to-face, and public address systems
  • well-groomed appearance with company uniform
  • valid state motor vehicle operator's license
  • able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet local airport requirements

Job Duties

  • provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • work cooperatively to ensure company success
  • provide legendary customer service by coordinating ramp, operations, provisioning, and servicing aircraft to ensure on-time departures and quick turnarounds
  • work in airport operation office, gate area, jetways and air freight facilities
  • handle station AMS and radio communications traffic as needed
  • coordinate loading and unloading of aircraft by monitoring ramp activities
  • operate boarding bridge and coordinate boarding and deplaning customers
  • work with gate agents in expediting check-in process
  • write and submit irregularity reports as required
  • maintain ground security and assure operations follow security procedures
