Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services
- Mathematical problem solving skills
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a telephone
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Treat all information as confidential
- Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
- Must be willing and able to work in various climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Must be willing and able to handle non-routine situations such as early/late flights, weather and mechanical delays, passenger accommodations
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must be a United States citizen or have necessary immigration authorization
- Must be able to resolve passenger problem situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as ticket agent, gate agent, or operations agent
- Strong mathematical problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to treat information as confidential
- Ability to operate under various climatic conditions
- Ability to cope with non-routine situations including delays and passenger accommodations
- Must be able to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must meet necessary requirements for a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a United States citizen or possess necessary authorization from INS
Job Duties
- Utilize airline system to plan flight weight and balance
- Determine number of passengers that may safely be boarded
- Oversee gate functions and pre-boarding/boarding process
- Ensure on-time departure requirements are met
- Monitor employee activity and adjust as needed
- Communicate effectively with employees, client representatives and passengers
- Report safety hazards, equipment problems, and major incidents
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform quality assurance service audits
- Implement and participate in Safety Management System
- Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Resolve passenger problem situations when necessary
- Attend meetings and in-services
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
