Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- physical ability to transport patients safely
- availability to work rotating shifts
- willingness to comply with hospital policies and procedures
- basic life support (bls) certification within 90 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- environmental service experience preferred
- acute care inventory supply experience preferred
- operating room support experience preferred
- basic life support certification within 90 days of hire
Job Duties
- transport patients from inpatient emergency room icu to pre-op holding area
- clean operating room suites between surgical procedures
- stock anesthesia supplies in medication carts
- clean and transport anesthesia machines and carts
- transport specimens and blood products to and from the lab
- stock formalin containers for specimen handling
- assist in positioning surgical patients under professional guidance
- open sterile supplies and prepare the operating room suite
