The Operating Room Environmental Services Attendant position at Sodexo, located at the Nebraska Medical Center, plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of perioperative environments. This full-time role offers varying work shifts, including days, rotating weekends, and flexible hours to accommodate hospital needs, with an hourly pay range of $17.36 to $19.50. As an Environmental Services Attendant specializing in operating room settings, you will be a key contributor to infection control by ensuring that all specified areas within the Perioperative Suites are cleaned and maintained according to hospital regulations and policies. Your responsibilities not only impact the physical environment but also support patient safety and staff efficiency. The role requires adherence to biohazard waste disposal protocols, linen distribution, restocking supplies, and communication with related departments.
Beyond the cleaning duties, you may assist in operational tasks within the OR suite, such as helping move or transport patients in collaboration with nursing staff, always under limited patient contact guidelines. This position calls for reliability, punctuality, and dedication to promoting a healthy and safe workplace. While previous experience is not required, candidates should be adaptable, reliable, and team-minded, helping to foster a culture of safety and respect.
