Whataburger is currently seeking an Operating Partner to lead the team at their Fort Worth, Texas location. This role is a unique opportunity for experienced restaurant professionals to take ownership of daily restaurant operations while contributing to the broader success of the brand. As an Operating Partner, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of restaurant performance, from financial oversight and staffing to customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.
This position offers a competitive total rewards package, including the potential to earn a six-figure income, weekly pay, and uncapped bonuses based on performance. The role is designed for a results-driven leader who excels at managing teams, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of quality and food safety. The Operating Partner works closely with their management team and Market Leader to execute operational plans, improve processes, and implement company initiatives.
The Operating Partner is accountable for key financial tasks including profit and loss management, cash reporting, labor and food cost control, and facility maintenance. Effective leadership in talent acquisition and development is essential to build a motivated and skilled team. The role demands strong operational oversight, with a focus on monitoring restaurant metrics related to sales, labor, and customer feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Safety is a top priority, and the Operating Partner is tasked with maintaining robust food safety protocols and creating a safe working environment for all staff. Customer relationship management also plays a significant role in this position, with direct involvement in resolving complaints and fostering a positive dining experience. The Operating Partner is the face of change within the restaurant, responsible for adopting new products, systems, campaigns, and strategic initiatives promptly and effectively.

- 2+ years of management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Proven leadership skills

Job Duties
- Manages profit and loss, oversees financial tasks such as cash reporting, labor, food expenses, repairs, and maintenance
- Responsible for attracting and retaining talent through key hiring decisions, growth and development plans, and regular performance assessments
- Works with Managers and the Market Leader to execute operational plans
- Monitors restaurant performance and processes utilizing reporting tools, customer metrics, and labor metrics
- Maintains restaurant safety protocols through promotion of all food safety policies, procedures, tools, and systems and creation of a safe work environment
- Builds relationships with customers and resolves customer complaints
- Responsible for rollout and adoption of all change initiatives, to include new products, systems, company campaigns and strategies
