The General Manager/Operating Partner at Whataburger of Mesquite, Inc. plays a critical leadership role in driving the restaurant’s success. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Protects and promotes the Whataburger brand at all times
  • Consistently completes Orange Guidebook (OGB) and NSF checklist
  • Conducts and attends meetings as required
  • Schedules and conducts LTO training sessions
  • Attends quarterly business meeting
  • Reports critical or unplanned situations requiring immediate action to the Area Manager
  • Communicates needs, deviations, and operating data to Area Manager
  • Ensures compliance with Family Member Guidelines
  • Prepares and presents ideas and reports to upper management
  • Conducts recruitment, prescreens, interviews and hires candidates
  • Conducts new hire orientation and training
  • Identifies and trains team members for leadership roles
  • Conducts performance reviews and manages disciplinary actions
  • Oversees employee scheduling and budgeting
  • Maintains professional relationships and addresses complaints
  • Performs administrative tasks including payroll corrections and data review
  • Reviews pass-down communications and maintenance needs
  • Ensures accuracy of food and supply orders and cash handling
  • Conducts audits for cash handling and food safety
  • Monitors quality of food production and customer service
  • Gathers customer feedback and initiates improvements
  • Ensures proper inventory and food production equipment maintenance
  • Implements marketing and promotional activities
  • Reports safety incidents and supports public relations
  • Implements food cost controls and compliance with health certifications
  • Builds effective relationships across business units
  • Manages expenses and achieves sales and profit goals
  • Maintains physical ability to perform job requirements
  • Continues professional development and certification completion
