The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) plays a pivotal role within BURGER KING's operational structure. As the Shift Leader, the HSC is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the restaurant operations during assigned shifts to drive sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, people management, and operational efficiency. This role reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Manager (AM) and involves managing a team of front-line employees to meet and exceed performance goals. The HSC contributes significantly to maintaining the high standards of BURGER KING by ensuring strict adherence to cash control procedures, inventory management, guest service principles, and operational brand standards. The position demands a hands-on leader capable of motivating and directing team members to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service in clean surroundings, thereby enhancing the guest experience. The HSC also handles inventory inspections and delivery receipts to maintain food quality and availability, supports team development through coaching and feedback, and spearheads efforts to meet key performance indicators related to sales and profitability. This full-time role requires flexibility with working shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure seamless restaurant operations and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience
  • Understanding of guest service principles
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed, for proper functioning of the restaurant

Job Duties

  • Follows all cash control and security procedures such as safe counting and cash drawers
  • Maintains inventory by performing daily and weekly inventory inspections
  • Receives inventory truck orders
  • Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings
  • Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members to increase the restaurant team's capabilities and raise restaurant performance
  • Sets an example for Team Members by working hard to implement shift plan and drive operational results
  • Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines
  • Motivates Team Members during the shift on each of the workstations
  • Reviews restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement
  • Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
