The Hourly Shift Coordinator (HSC) role at BURGER KING is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the restaurant during assigned shifts. As the Shift Leader, the HSC is instrumental in driving the restaurant’s sales, profitability, guest experience, people management, and operational efficiency. This role works closely with the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and the Assistant Manager (AM) to manage daily operations and deliver key performance outcomes. The HSC is responsible for directly managing a shift team of Team Members, motivating and coaching them to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service, all while maintaining cleanliness and upholding BURGER KING's brand standards.
The responsibilities of the HSC cover several critical areas, including profitability, guest service, people development, and operational excellence. In terms of profitability, the HSC monitors and controls cash procedures such as safe counting and cash drawer management, maintains inventory through daily and weekly inspections, and receives inventory truck orders to ensure stock accuracy and availability. When it comes to guest service, the HSC actively motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations ensuring a memorable dining experience.
People management is also a key component of the role; the HSC provides ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to enhance the skills and performance of the restaurant team. Operationally, the HSC sets an example by working hard to implement shift plans, directs the efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products within established speed-of-service guidelines, motivates Team Members across different workstations, reviews restaurant performance for continuous improvement, and ensures adherence to all operational and brand standards.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed
Job Qualifications

- 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience

Job Duties
- Follow all cash control and security procedures such as safe counting and cash drawers
- Maintain inventory by performing daily and weekly inventory inspections
- Receive inventory truck orders
- Motivate and direct Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings
- Provide coaching and feedback to Team Members to increase the restaurant team's capabilities and raise restaurant performance
- Set an example for Team Members by working hard to implement shift plan and drive operational results
- Direct efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines
- Motivate Team Members during the shift on each of the workstations
- Review restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement
- Ensure that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
