Job Description

FreshPoint is a leading foodservice distributor committed to delivering quality products and exceptional service to its customers across various markets. As a subsidiary of Sysco, a global leader in foodservice distribution, FreshPoint embodies the core values of innovation, integrity, and customer satisfaction. Established to serve foodservice providers with fresh produce and other food-related essentials, FreshPoint is positioned at the heart of food and service, enabling businesses to thrive by ensuring they receive timely and reliable delivery of high-quality food products. The company is dedicated to creating a dynamic workplace where employees can grow both personally and professionally, fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement. FreshPoint’s commitment extends beyond its business operations to include the well-being and development of its employees, offering comprehensive benefits and career advancement opportunities to attract and retain top talent.

The current opportunity at FreshPoint is for local CDL-A, CDL-B, and Non-CDL drivers based in Warren, Ohio. This role is pivotal to the company’s operations as drivers are responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to customers on local routes, which means drivers get to spend more time at home daily. The position offers competitive pay with salary ranges varying by license type, starting from $61,000 and going up to $83,000 in the first year, complemented by paid benefits. FreshPoint holds an open interview event to recruit candidates for these driver roles, inviting qualified applicants to meet and discuss career opportunities. Drivers in this role must possess a valid CDL-A or CDL-B license depending on the route and the vehicle driven, or be a non-CDL driver with the relevant driving experience. Beyond operating the delivery vehicles, successful candidates will be expected to maintain safety standards, manage delivery paperwork accurately, and provide excellent customer service, ensuring FreshPoint continues to uphold its reputation for reliability and quality.

FreshPoint provides a supportive work environment with comprehensive healthcare coverage, paid vacation and holidays, and a strong retirement plan including a 401(k) with company match. Additional benefits such as employee discount programs, discounted stock purchase plans, referral bonuses, and safety programs further enhance the employment package. These benefits demonstrate FreshPoint’s investment in its workforce and recognition of their hard work. The company is an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusion in its hiring practices without regard to race, color, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics. Join FreshPoint to be part of a team where your efforts contribute directly to the success of the company and satisfaction of the customers it serves. This is an excellent career choice for individuals seeking a stable, rewarding job with opportunities for growth in the food distribution industry.
