Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or housekeeping preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • capability to climb stairs and ladders repetitively
  • ability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • willingness to live onsite and be available for overnight on-call duties
  • strong organizational skills
  • basic maintenance skills including light electrical and plumbing work

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in hotel maintenance or custodial services preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • conducting light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • executing preventative maintenance programs, public space janitorial work, parking lot upkeep, and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units, repairing drywall, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours, providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
  • being regularly on call overnight for after-hours guest needs
  • performing other duties as assigned
