The Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger involves selecting and gathering products for customers’ online orders efficiently, with a strong attention to freshness and quality. This role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless and positive online shopping experience by assembling customers’ orders, processing coupons and payments, and assisting customers by delivering and loading orders into their vehicles upon arrival. The position requires communication with customers for any substitutions or order exceptions, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction. Working as part of the e-commerce team, associates contribute to maintaining optimal storage conditions, cleanliness, order organization, and safe handling of products. This position also includes responsibilities such as scanning and bagging items following company standards, handling point of sale transactions, and reporting discrepancies or equipment issues.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a personal shopper, in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves or as a cashier is preferred

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and honesty

Job Duties

  • Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality
  • Assemble customers' online orders accurately and efficiently
  • Process coupons and payments through the point of sale system
  • Deliver and load orders into customers' vehicles upon arrival
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers during pick-up
  • Scan and bag orders while adhering to bagging standards
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment
  • Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies
  • Inspect equipment and notify supervisors of repair needs
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist in training new e-commerce team members
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards
  • Provide positive customer service experience
  • Follow safety and food handling guidelines
  • Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner
