The role of the Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, also known as the In-Store Grocery Shopper, is an essential position within Kroger’s e-commerce operations. This role involves selecting and gathering products for customers’ online orders efficiently, paying close attention to the freshness and quality of items. The clerk is responsible for assembling online grocery orders, processing coupons and payments, and delivering and loading the orders when customers arrive for pickup. Additionally, the role requires excellent communication with customers regarding any substitutions or exceptions and delivering a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to continue using online shopping services.

- Experience as a personal shopper, in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, shelving, or cashiering is desirable
Job Duties
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality
- Assemble customers' online orders
- Process coupons and payment
- Deliver and load orders to customers' cars upon arrival for pickup
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at time of pick-up
- Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Assist in training new e-commerce team members
- Meet or exceed customer service and productivity standards
- Follow policies for out-of-stock substitutions
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and professionally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support through direct interaction with diverse customer groups
